Habitat And range
- Hawksbill turtles mostly live in the tropics and subtropics of the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific oceans. It's usually found in coral reefs in warmer waters . They are most often found in coral reef habitats. Hawksbills are known to pick the same sleeping or resting place night after night.
Predators and enemies
The hawksbill sea turtles shell is still used in some European and Asian countries to make jewelry. Beachfront lighting causes hatchlings to mistake the artificial light for their true destination the moonlit sea. Any distraction from their dash to the water is an opportunity for predators to pick up them as a meal.
